T: I was planning on going to the mountains tomorrow, but it looks like the weather is going to
turn bad tonight.
H: Yes, I'm afraid so. A strong wind suddenly blew up a while ago and it looks like rain, too. It's
brobably because the typhoon is getting closer. Where did you intend to go?
T: To the Northern Alps.
H: It's dangerous to go to the mountains when the weather is bad. A friend of mine nearly lost his
life in the mountains the other day.
T: What happened to him?
H: He slipped and almost fell down a rocky slop.
T: Really? That must have been a close call. When it's rainy, rocky slops get slippery and
dangerous. It's tooo bad, but I'll have to give up my trip tomorrow.
H: That may be wise thing to do. It would be better to go after the weather improves.
T: Yes, that' what I'll do.
It was already cloudy this morning. But it didn't look like rain then. However, now, at noontime, the sky has become back, and it looks as if it's going to rain any minute. A fierce wind has suddenly come up, too. The antennas on the roofs are swaying as if they are going to fall. The typhoon is moving in on us.
