A dialogue between a housewife, who is expecting company soon, and her maid

H.W:        Haruko!
M:            Yes. What is it?
H.W:        Has the living room been cleaned?
M:            Yes, I cleaned it well a while ago.
H.W:        Have you closed the windows yet?
M:            No, they are still open.
H.W:        Then, will you close the windows right away and turn on the stove?
M:            Yes. About what time are the guests arriving?
H.W:        I think they will be arriving soon. Have you prepared some fruit?
M:            No, I only bought some sweets. Shall I go and buy something else?
H.W:       Let's see.......Would you go buy some tangerines?
M:           How many shall I buy?
H.W:       Please get me 3 kilograms at 150 yen a kilogram and five apples at 50 yen each?
M:            Well, I'll be right back.
H.W:       Fine.
(The maid has returned from shopping)
M:           I'm back.
H.W:       Good. They must have been very heavy.
M:           The tangerines cost 180 yen a kilogram, ma'am.
H.W:       My, but there are big tangerines. How far did you have to go? Did you go to the
                greengrocery right over there?
M:           No, that store was closed.
H.W:       Is today their regular holiday?
M:           No, there was a notice saying the store will be closed on the 19th and 20th.
H.W:       Well, put the tangerines in the usual dish.

Haruko went to buy some fruit at the greengrocer's nearby. But she found the store was closed. She saw a notice which said, "We will be closed on the 19th and 20th."
