A dialogue between a foreign student and his Japanese friend

J:      What did you come to Japan to study?
F.S:   I came to Japan with the hope of studying ecomomics.
J:      What does your father do?
F.S:   My father is a doctor.
J:       Didn't your father tell you, "You must study medicine"?
F.S:   My father said to me,  "Do whatever you want to do."
J:       Is that right? He's a good father, isn't he? Please come and see me at my place. I'd like to hear
          about you country.
F.S:    Thank you very much.
